Our 2026 fall social and flea market was held on October 10th and once again it went off very well indeed. Deals were made, equipment was bought and sold and by all accounts it was a very good day.
A big thank you to:
- Icom Canada for providing the door prize, an Icom IC-V86 2m handheld transceiver. Icom has consistently been very supportive of the QCARC and we are grateful for this!
- The Northern Alberta Radio Club. They ran a 50/50 lottery which is a bit of work given the AGLC regulations around that. Our many friends in TNARC are always a pleasure to interact with and we share many enjoyable events together.
And a very special thank you to all those who pitched in to help make this yet another successful event. You know who you are and you are all appreciated. We could not hold these events without the help all who volunteer to contribute their time and effort to make these events what they are.
Below are a couple of photos taken at the event. The first one is Lloyd, VA6CLR, president of TNARC (on the right) presenting the 50/50 winnings to Art Fogel (centre). Congratulations, Art! Our QCARC president Neil, VE6TCK, (on the left) is scrutinizing the proceedings.
The second photo is Patrick, VE6PLW, who was the lucky winner of the door prize, an Icom IC-V86 2m handheld transceiver. Congratulations, Patrick!
