The Canada-Wide Science Fair will be held in Edmonton this year and Radio Amateurs of Canada will have a booth there to engage the youth that are attending the science fair and introduce them to our hobby.
The CWSF showcases the talents of students in grades 7 to 12. Young people from all over Canada will be attending the event so this is a great opportunity for making young people aware of amateur radio and getting them interested in it.
Along with Radio Amateurs of Canada the Quarter Century Amateur Radio Club and our friends at the Northern Alberta Radio Club will assist in staffing the booth.
This is all happening at the Edmonton Expo Centre. Public viewing is from 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM on Thursday, May 28 and Friday, May 29.
If you know any young people with an interest in science, technology, engineering and math tell them to come down and learn about all kinds of science!
